David Corden
Scriptwiting, voicovers and audio production
Profile
David Corden was born at a very early age at Starbeck Hospital in Harrogate, Yorkshire, on account of his mother being in the maternity ward there at the time. Following a bi-lateral childhood in Yorkshire and Lancashire, his Churchillian leanings took over until attending drama school at MMU’s Capitol Theatre, Manchester – once the home of ABC Television.
Since then he has appeared on stage, television and film in a variety of productions including theatre tours of Trojan Women playing all the male roles, How the Other Half Loves with John Challis and Sue Holderness and Heartbeat – A musical Celebration in which he played lead guitar and Claude Greengrass. David has also done three tours of duty at the Royal Exchange, Manchester, the most recent of which was in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom with Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear from Starsky & Hutch).
Films include Best – The George Best Story, Signs of Life and Meat Market, while on television, he has been given a rollocking by David Jason in A Touch of Frost, won the shirt off David Tennant’s back in Casanova, got terribly tipsy in Coronation Street and been (almost) naked in an abattoir freezer in series one of the International Emmy Award winning Best Drama Series Life On Mars, as Charlie Edwards.
David has been associated with FeelDesign for a number of years providing voice-overs, voice direction, engineering and production, original musical compositions, audio restoration and appearing in corporate video production.
He also moonlights as a theatre and film director, script editor and Equity Ambassador.
